Dear Potential
Donor,
The Kit
Callahan’s Miracle Mile celebrates and rejoices in the success
stories of survivors of brain injuries in Northern Virginia and the
surrounding counties. It is the one day for survivors, their
friends and families to recognize all their accomplishments during
the past year. Their journey is long and difficult and Brain Injury
Services feels it needs to be celebrated!
The “Miracle
Mile” came about because of Kit Callahan’s overwhelming desire to
walk and talk again and eventually to run after his injury in
October 1993. Despite the prediction of many doctors and
rehabilitation professional that his goals were not obtainable, Kit
would not accept their prognosis and overcame the impossible. In
2001, Kit, along with friends and families, celebrated and walked at
the First Annual Kit Callahan’s Miracle Mile, 5K.
Our
organization and the Callahan Family are proud of this event and
what it represents to the survivors we serve. We are proud to have
found a venue to educate the general public about brain injury and
prevention. There is no cure for brain injury… only prevention.
I hope we can
count on your company to join Brain Injury Services in celebrating
the successes of survivors of brain injury on September 26, 2010 at
George Mason University.
Thank you for
your support!
