Course/Awards

10K Course Description (Runners will be timed using Capital Running Company's ChronoTrack timing system)

The NEW 10K (6.2 miles) USATF Certified VA-10043-RT course will consist of running/walking around the campus of George Mason University consistently three times.  Click Here to download the race course.

2 Mile Course Description (Runners will be timed using Capital Running Company's ChronoTrack timing system)

This is a  NEW Course for this year's event.  It will will consist of running/walking around the campus of George Mason University one time.  The start and finish will be the same as the 10K Course.

Fun Run/Survivor's Circle of Hope Course Description (New course due to construction)

This course, approximately 0.2 miles,  starts at the corner of George Mason Blvd and Patriot Circle and goes towards the Rappahannock River Parking Deck.  Participants will turn around at the end of Patriot Circle and will run back to the intersection of George Mason Blvd and Patriot Circle.  Please note, an adult or aide is allow to run/walk with a child or survivor at no additional fee on this course.     

However, participants can run/walk 1 or 2 miles…the choice is yours!

Awards

An award ceremony will follow the 10K Run/Walk at approximately 10:45 AM.  Top three male and female finishers for the 10K run only will each receive: $100 (1st Place), $75 (2nd Place), $50 (3rd Place). Top male & female finishers in the following age categories will each receive unique prizes for the 10K and 2 mile run: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, and 70 and over.  Awards will be based on "clock time" in the 10K and 2 Mile Run.  An award will also be given to the top male and female survivor. No duplicate awards.

An All Fun Run and Survivor's Circle of Hope participants will receive a commemorative award for their accomplishment at the finish area.
